In 1973 the cooperative of winemakers of the Cinque Terre is born. In only a few years, its scope goes from simply acting as a voice for its members to promoting local viticulture, an enterprise that ensures the protection and the conservation of the biodiversity of a land as extraordinary as it is delicate.
Among the numerous achievements of the cooperative are: having stopped the abandonment of the area, the enhancement of heroic viticulture, the growing international popularity of the brand and the protection of the “Cinque Terre” and “Cinque Terre Sciacchetrà” controlled destination of origin denominations, officially recognized and appreciated in all the world.

The Wine Cooperative in Groppo – Riomaggiore

Founded in 1982, the winery of the Cooperativa Agricola delle Cinque Terre, with its headquarters in the village of Groppo above Manarola, has as its primary aim to allow its member-owners to make wine with cutting edge enological technologies that guarantee the quality of the product.
Constructed with the same materials used for the terracing of the vineyards, the winemakers’ cooperative is an iconic place, a hub for winemakers and visitors, because it is also the venue for learning about and tasting our wines.

Visits, tours and tastings

Allow yourself to be enchanted by an experience that blends enological culture, fragrances and tastes, as you discover winemaking that makes a difference: from cultivation to production, from bottling to vinification, to pouring, in the company of people who know the value of tradition and how to convey it.

The Symposium – tasting and event room

To offer an even more immersive experience, we introduce our tasting area. Here our wine merges with tradition in an interplay of flavours, fragrances and aromas that enhance one another.
The area is multifunctional: it transforms into an event space that hosts presentations, educational activities, exclusive concerts, large group tastings, conventions and any event that deserves to be celebrated in a setting that is already in itself a masterpiece.
