A five-generation family history. Since 1883 Bottega di Adò has been synonymous with tradition, quality and professionalism. Grandpa Adò would be proud to see that today the “Bottega” (Shop) named after him continues to be an important part of his long life through his family.
A leader on a local scale, with a significant expansion on national and international markets, Bottega di Adò is a Tuscan artisan delicatessen, based in Montignoso, in the heart of the Apuan Mountains, in the province of Massa Carrara, specialising in the production of pork. At Bottega, the production process takes place in the modern laboratory equipped in terms of technology and structure according to the current EEC standards; the products range from fresh cured meats or cured meats in brine, to aged cured meats, some of which, such as bacon and cheek lard, are aged in a marble basin, as in the tradition of the famous Colonnata lard, cooked cured meats, fresh meat rigorously produced in Italy. If the brain is modern and rational, the heart is still that of great-grandfather Adò and the herbs are still crushed in the marble mortar to capture the authentic flavours of the past, the spices are carefully selected choosing the best importers and they are ground on the moment to retain all their aroma.
